Lee Duffield
Early in his career, Dr Lee Duffield was the first news editor on the Triple J youth service. As ABC’s European Correspondent, he was based in Brussels and covered the collapse of communism in Europe and the opening of the Berlin Wall. Dr Duffield worked in public affairs after 1992 as a senior ministerial media advisor in the Queensland government and for a short time at the Australian High Commission in New Zealand. His doctoral thesis on news media in historical crises, drawing on his experiences as an overseas correspondent. Dr Duffield now lectures in journalism at Queensland University of Technology.
