Susan worked at the CIS in the roles of Editor and then Foreign Policy Program Analyst. She has worked in areas such as Papua New Guinea, the Pacific, Australian Foreign Policy and the US Alliance. She is the author of numerous articles on Papua New Guinea and the Pacific, and is co-author of the CIS Issue Analysis papers Papua New Guinea on the Brin' and Papua New Guinea's Choice: A Tale of Two Nations. Sue also co-wrote the Occasional Paper Between Two Worlds on Australian foreign policy responses to new and old security dilemmas. She holds a Masters degree with merit in Political Science from the University of Sydney.
