CIS 'Meet the Researcher' Lecture
Tuesday 2 February 2010
Elise Parham

Running time: 55 mins

CIS Policy Analyst Elise Parham discusses her research into one of the key policy issues for the coming year: the government’s response to the National Human Rights Consultation, which in September 2009 recommended Australia adopt a charter of rights.

The lecture also marked the launch of the latest CIS report: Behind the Moral Curtain: The Politics of a Charter of Rights. What would a charter mean for Australian democracy? Who wants it, and why? These are some of the key questions Elise will explore. The session was chaired by CIS Research Fellow Dr Oliver Marc Hartwich.
