Join UK sociologist and University of Kent academic Professor Frank Furedi for a look into the paradoxical situation of tolerance as a societal ideal. How do we uphold tolerance when certain elements of the community use that tolerance to commit abuses and outrages? A liberal society is based on its citizenry being mature and responsible, but what happens when moral disorientation ensues? Professor Furedi is a prolific writer and media commentator and will share why he will always stand up for permissiveness. He is the author of Therapy Culture, Politic of Fear and, most recently, Wasted; Why Education Isn’t Educating.
