John M. Green

John M. Green is a company director and writer. He is a director of WorleyParsons and QBE Insurance Group. He writes regularly on business in a number of publications, and is the author of two novels, the financial thriller Nowhere Man, and the political thriller Born to Run. John is also co-founder of PanteraPress.com, an independent publisher focused on fostering debate on hot topics and discovering and nurturing Australia's next generation of best-loved authors.

Previously, he was an investment banker at Macquarie Bank, where he was an executive director for 13 years. His career before investment banking was in law, including as a partner in two law firms, Freehills and Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst). In past years, he was also a member of the ASX National Listings Committee, held a number of posts in the Securities Institute of Australia (now Finsia), and has served on the boards of a variety of not-for-profit organisations.
